At Smart Tech Upcycled, we want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. If something isn’t right, we’re here to help.

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Returns & Refunds

You may be eligible for a return or refund if:

  • The item is faulty, damaged, or not working as described.
  • The item has a major defect that cannot be fixed within a reasonable time.
  • You received the wrong item.

If the problem is minor, we may choose to repair or replace the product instead of offering a refund.

Please note: Change of mind returns are not accepted, so please choose carefully before you buy.

Warranty Coverage

All refurbished devices sold by Smart Tech Upcycled come with a 3-month hardware warranty. Cosmetic wear and tear, accidental damage, or misuse are not covered.

How to Return an Item

To lodge a return or refund request:

  1. Contact us at admin@smarttechlaptops.com.au with your order number and details of the issue.
  2. Our team will assess your claim and provide return instructions.
  3. Items must be returned in their original condition (as reasonably possible), with all included accessories.
  4. Once received and inspected, we will process your repair, replacement, or refund in line with ACL.

Shipping Costs for Returns

  • If the item is faulty or incorrect, we will cover the return shipping cost.
  • If the return is not due to our error, the customer may be responsible for shipping costs.

Processing Time

Refunds (when approved) will be processed within 5–10 business days back to your original payment method. Replacements and repairs will be processed as quickly as possible.
